ZOC BOARD APPOINTMENTS

The Zimbabwe Olympic Committee is proud to announce the following Board co-option announcement by the ZOC President Mr. Thabani Gonye. This is in accordance with ARTICLE 18.3 of the ZOC CONSTITUTION “The Executive Board may co-opt additional members to address anomalies in representation including skills deficiency or representation of the gender lesser in number on the Executive Board or if the number of elected representatives of Olympic Sports NFs is not sufficient to ensure that they constitute a voting majority of the members of the Executive Board”.

Hugh Robert Fulton-TECHNICAL AND DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION

Mr. Fulton will chair the Technical and Development Commission. Rick brings to the team a wealth of technical experience and expertise. In 2017 he was appointed as Africa Triathlon Continental Coordinator responsible for all Technical, Event and Development projects for Triathlon and related Multi-Sport Disciplines. He has been appointed as Technical Delegate to a total of 19 World Triathlon sanctioned events. He has served on the ZOC Board as Chairperson of the Development Commission and for the last 4 years, has been on the Technical and Development Commission when the two commissions were amalgamated.

Soman Mudariki- MEDICAL, SPORTS SCIENCE AND PROTECTION OF CLEAN ATHLETES COMMISSION

Dr. Soman Mudariki will chair the Medical, Sports Science and Protection of Clean Athletes Commission. Dr. Mudariki is a highly skilled sports and disaster medicine physician. Before his co-option he was the sports physician on the Medical and Protection of Clean Athletes Commission. He holds an IOC Diploma in Sports Medicine and is the Lead Doping Control Officer for Zimbabwe responsible for the testing program. He has extensive experience as a Team Physician having worked with various national team since 2012.

Zimbabwe Olympic committee
